Help CenterHexIQ's "Reports" page is an easy-to-use tool that allows you to quickly benchmark the rates for specific code for specific TINs or NPIs.
The "Code," "Classification," and "State" fields are all required. Either the "NPI" or, "TIN, EIN, or Parent NPI" field must also be complete.
After you complete the search, an arrow will appear above the bar where your NPI or TIN of interest falls. If you enter a TIN or parent NPI that has a number of providers with different rates associated with it, the arrow will point to the average of all the rates.
At this time, benchmarking is only available for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, UnitedHealth Group, Cigna, and Aetna.
Troubleshooting
Sometimes you might perform a search and some or all payers are missing benchmark arrows (as below).
The problem here is that payers use different TINs or parent NPIs for the same organization. So, in this example, Blue Cross/Blue Shield has rates for this organization listed under a different TIN or parent NPI. In this case, you will need to find additional TINs or parent NPIs for the organization. Use this guide to find additional TINs or parent NPIs and enter them into the TIN, EIN, or parent NPI field.
