There are a few ways you can use HexIQ to find NPIs, TINs, EINs, and parent NPIs of interest.

Using the "Browse Rates" page

If you have a specific code of interest and know the name of a provider at a hospital or practice, you can use HexIQ’s “Browse Rates” page to identify the appropriate TINs and parent NPIs for that organization. From there, you can find all of the negotiated rates for all providers for your code of interest at that organization.

Step 1: Enter the code of interest, state, and payers that you think the NPI has rates with. On the right side you will see the name, NPI, and address for the individual that you searched. If you are looking for the negotiated rates for an individual, you can click download and select “Instant Download” to download the CSV that contains all of the negotiated rates for your selected payers for that code of interest.

Step 2: If you are looking for the TIN or parent NPI, click “Show related businesses”

Step 3: If you want to find all of the negotiated rates for a particular organization, add the TINs and Parent NPIs of interest to the search criteria. You can use the “+” button next to the TIN or parent NPI for each associated business. Make sure that the TIN or parent NPI is added to the TIN, EIN, and parent NPI field on the left side. Click search once all of the appropriate TINs and parent NPIs are limited.

Step 4: Once your criteria is entered, select search and a preview of the results will appear on the right hand side. Download your results by clicking the “Download” button on the right. If your results are fewer than 10,000 rows, you can use the Instant Download feature. If it longer, select Full Download, then navigate to “My Downloads” to retrieve your results.

You can fill in additional search criteria, like Grouping, Classification, or Specialization, to limit your search results.

Hint: Make sure that the “NPI” field is blank if you are looking for organization-level information.

Using the "Browse Providers" page

If you don't have a specific code of interest, you can use HexIQ's "Browse Providers" page to find NPIs, TINs, and EINs of interest. "State" is the only required field on this page.

The example below shows the results for a search of all NPIs with Hematology and Oncology rates in Rhode Island. Once you perform the search, a preview of the results appear on the right side of your screen. You can download your results using the "Download" button. Select "Instant Download" if you think your search produced fewer than 10,000 results. If your search may exceed 10,000 results, select "Full Download" and navigate to the "My Downloads" section to pull your report.
